Meet Dr. Paxon

Back in the sunny Okanagan! I grew up in Penticton and, after eighteen years away working and studying, I returned home. My father was a dentist in Penticton for 30 years and I too found my way to the dental profession. Orthodontics is a lot of work, but also a lot of fun. I enjoy the challenge of designing unique, individual treatment plans to create amazing smiles but equally important are the relationships formed with patients and families.

I completed a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry at Trinity Western University in 2002, where I also worked for several years. I later returned to school to pursue graduate studies in inorganic chemistry at McMaster University before entering dentistry at the University of British Columbia, graduating with a Doctor of Medical Dentistry in 2013.

Immediately following completion of the dental program, I continued on to specialise in orthodontics, graduating in 2016 from the University of British Columbia with a Master of Science degree in craniofacial science and a diploma in orthodontics. I completed the national specialty board examination in the same year and have been practising as a certified specialist in orthodontics since that time.

I am a fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada and maintain membership in the Canadian Association of Orthodontists and the American Association of Orthodontists. I actively continue my education by attending numerous seminars, meetings and study clubs.

My wife, Kristine, and I are kept busy with our four active sons. Andrew, Mitchell, Patrick and Charlie make sure that we never have a dull moment. We spend our time enjoying the beaches, mountain biking, hiking and skiing that the Okanagan area has to offer.
